The new year did not bring quite nearly as much motivation to us as it has in years past. This is obviously due to Covid-19 and things remaining pretty much the same. Good news is that people are beginning to be able to get the vaccine which is great! But I am still skeptical of how quickly things may go back to normal....</p><p style="text-align: center;"><br /></p><p style="text-align: center;">So since I have been living in my apartment with my boyfriend (of 5.5 years) for almost three months now, it is starting to feel like home. Of course, the bills are something to new for me and I am desperately learning how to budget and eat more leftovers and cook more frequently. I seriously love having my own space. He is a frequent video-gamer and my classes resumed three weeks ago, so the spare bedroom has gotten a ton of use lately. I rarely would go in there over Christmas break, but it is nice to have this space where we can each get our own alone time. With school, it is necessay. For him, it is a leisurely escape haha!</p><p style="text-align: center;">Next weekend, I will be going on my first bachelorette party in Savannah, GA. I am the maid of honor (!!) and did a lot of planning for the weekend. I am excited to get to spend the weekend with my best friend and the other bridesmaids in a city that is new to me! Just to humbly brag, I worked extremely hard on the goodie bags and I am so happy with how they turned out and cannot wait for everyone to open them! Of course, I put face masks in them! I am also excited for this trip because this is my first vacation since I went to Boston and Orlando in the same week in December 2019. Boston was for work in which case I did not get to see a lot of it and Orlando was to see my best friend who was living there at the time. I have gone on a few family trips to the beach since, but I have not experienced anything new like Savannah in a long time. Hopefully I will be able to share my planning tips on here after the weekend comes to an end!</p>Bailey Hhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04661853568420468161noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7970427288063309122.post-77661903512639537582020-10-30T07:50:00.001-07:002020-10-30T07:50:25.970-07:00A Little Update<p style="text-align: center;"> Hello, hello!</p><p style="text-align: center;">Since the last time I posted, I left my job, was unemployed for two months, and then started a new job. Now, I am preparing to move in two weeks! Wow, finally moving out of my mom's house into an apartment. From attending community college and living at home, to living in Chapel Hill for the shortest (and somehow the longest) two years, to living at home again for another year and a half, I am so ready for this change. I'll be honest that I am sort of nervous because I will be paying for everything and will have to cook and I am no chef. </p><p style="text-align: center;">I honestly... sort of... enjoyed quarantine. Thankfully, COVID rates in my area were low. I am definitely staying home more and am very picky about events and gatherings that I attend. Not that there are that many to choose from, but you get what I mean. I think quarantining has been a little bit harder with fall because I am missing football games in Chapel Hill which has been a huge part of my fall Saturdays from a young age. </p><p style="text-align: center;">On top of the new job and moving, I've also started grad school. It hasn't been THAT demanding, but I don't adjust to change well so it has been difficult to balance everything when I'm at my office for 10 hours a day and training. My last assignments are due during the weekend that I move so I am trying to be diligent about working on these last few assignments beforehand and this post is a form of me procrastinating lol. </p><p style="text-align: center;">I know I am sooooo quiet on the blog like it's pretty sad. But, I am always reading blogs each and everyday (not exaggerating). I use my time on bloglovin' as time for me to either unwind or find a little bit more motivation in me. I check my blog instagram account daily (@baileysbulletin), I don't post up there really but I love having a separate place to follow all of the bloggers that I have loved for so long and am always discovering new ones! </p><p style="text-align: center;">Sorry for the brain dump, but I hope each of you enjoy your weekends and have a Happy Halloween!</p>Bailey Hhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04661853568420468161noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7970427288063309122.post-58511543419191860222020-04-15T08:01:00.000-07:002020-07-07T16:33:57.075-07:00How I've Been Feeling During Quarantine<div style="text-align: center;">
There is only one word to describe this time as... weird. Truly no one knows what they're doing some days. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
When schools closed a little over a month ago, I wasn't sure of how to react. In some ways, I was relieved because I had a lot of overwhelming events to plan that ultimately were cancelled. I was scared because I didn't know what quarantine would look like. I was also stressed from the adjustments that I had to make while working from home. The first two weeks of it were pretty awful. Not in the sense of not be able to go anywhere, but just the fact that there was so much unknown and I didn't know how to communicate those feelings. Then, the third week rolled along and I had a better understanding of what was going on and why we were social distancing. And it most certainly helped that more and more people were sharing these exact same feelings as me. Now I am on my fifth week of social distancing and it has become to feel like the new norm...</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I do want to address how blessed I am to be able to continue to work and get a paycheck. The longer this goes on, the more thankful I have become. This time at home has given me more time to look for new jobs (I am optimistic!) as my service year comes to a close. I have a little less than two months before this becomes a pressing issue for me, but I know that there are others out there that are under a lot more pressure. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I find it so interesting to see how some people are reacting to the quarantine. I live in an area that has a low population density, so there are a wide range of reactions. Some are social distancing more than others is all I will say on that.... My school is on "spring break" this week which has been a nice reprieve from working even though I am not going anywhere. But with work, I have been able to keep myself somewhat busy throughout the days and not giving me the opportunity to get completely bored. I have been using this time to exercise more regularly through walks, pure barre classes, and youtube. I also am trying to do a one second everyday video and am using Duolingo to brush up on my Spanish (not that I've ever been fluent, but I did take 4 levels in high school and 3 in college!)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
How are you feeling in the midst of all of this? </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Last week, I was fortunate enough to attend a Champagne dinner at the Chef and the Farmer. This is my hometown's claim to fame as it has had its own TV show on PBS and there will soon be a spin-off from the same show capturing food in the south. This four course meal was different, yet phenomenal. I have only recently begun to like wine and champagne, so this was going to be an adventure. I attended this dinner with my mom and my bf's step-mom which made for a fun girl's night out.</div>

<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
As soon as we walked in the door, we greeted with bags of popcorn. Duck-fat popcorn to be exact. This was paired with the champagne of beers, <i>Miller High Life</i>. I am not a beer drinker at all, nor have I tried this beer before but the combo of the popcorn and the champagne glass (tbh) made it go down pretty easily. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The first course was probably my favorite overall as I enjoyed both the rose champagne and the entree equally. Rose champagne is always so fun to drink as it is pretty to look at! Pork Belly Skewers are always my weakness when I go to Chef. These did not disappoint in the slightest and it was topped with cotton candy! There were major carnival vibes at this event for an added flair!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Y'all, let me tell you... this was probably THE BEST ENTREE. I probably will not eat a crabcake ever again after having this lobster corn dog. It was topped with a champagne dijionaise and spicy tomato ketchup with chow chow on the side (also, DELICIOUS!) It was lobster formed into a cake as a crab cake would be, but it was breaded in corn meal. The southern hospitality came over me and I devoured the entire dish! This was my favorite regular champagne that we had as it was the right combination of sweet and dry. (I'm no connoisseur when it comes to drinks, although I might be a self-acclaimed foodie)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I was most looking forward to trying this bucket-o-....quail. I have never had anything other than chicken when it comes to poultry cuisines and I especially have not had it fried. The quail were small, but they filled the basket up! There were probably about eight pieces per plate. The three of us could have just split one plate, to be quite honest. The breading had a honey glaze to it which really added to the flavor. The ranch on the side was really good with the quail. We were also served french fries underneath the quail which were good... I mean its pretty hard to have a bad french fry. The champagne with this entree was probably my least favorite as it was the most bitter one we had. Of course, this was my mom and bf's step-mom's favorite <i>because </i>it was bitter. </div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The fourth course was super adorable! The funnel cake was served with toffee apples and marscarpone ice cream topped with powdered sugar and it truly felt like I was at the fair. The champagne was a blanc de blanc and it was very, very sweet. I liked it the most out of group for that reason. </div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
This was such a fun night with great people! I hope I get to attend another themed dinner at the Chef and the Farmer again in the coming months!</div>

Although this is a later post, I thought I would share this quote. More and more lately, I have been thinking about how kind I am. Working in a school can test my patience sometimes and this quote is a reminder that I am trying to achieve something good with my students and that I need to show them grace more often. Patience isn't my strong suit, but I am working on it. So here's to finishing the semester by being good to those around me by doing a good job!</div>

As y'all know, I am living at home while doing a service job through UNC. Honestly, living at home can be lonely and often boring. We have a gym membership that I take advantage of, but the classes are full of older people and are not the same energy as the classes I took on campus. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I decided the best way for me to get work out classes in, in addition to the gym, was to go to one of the studios in Greenville and what better way to do it than with a friend! My friend, Hannah, is a student at East Carolina University and lives in Greenville which is about 40 minutes from my house. A few weeks ago, we decided to go to Pure Barre. I have been wanting to join and had been afraid to do it alone. This has allowed me to socialize with a friend and get a full body work out in once a week!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I wish I could do twice a week, but the drive can be a lot when I wake up at 6 every morning and by the time I leave work I hit the 5 o clock "traffic" (Greenville has a <i>terrible </i>infrastructure imo). </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Pure Barre is a lot of fun. It's nice to go work out and no one really know who you are. I am feeling more confident in my body already! I can't wait to see the results as I continue this journey.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
In the spirit of "vlogmas", I am going to be attempting to do blogmas here at Bailey's Bulletin and will be posting for the next 25 days. Not sure how this going to go since next week I will be in Boston, but I have plenty of time to prepare. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This is my first Christmas not in school. It feels weird not having finals to worry about and at the same time I feel like I am having an identity crisis! I don't feel old enough to be done with school, but I am still too young (and broke) to buy every single person on my list a super nice gift.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Anyways, back to our regular programming, here are some of the things I am asking for this year. I have asked for a lot of clothes, but that can get repetitive as it just become pictures on pictures of sweaters!</div>

<br />Bailey Hhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/04661853568420468161noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7970427288063309122.post-78469118862790143572019-09-25T07:14:00.001-07:002019-09-25T07:14:37.344-07:00A New Season<div style="text-align: center;">
Y'all.... life comes at you.... FAST. Just (almost) three months ago, I was just beginning training for my job as a college adviser. School has been in session for a solid month now and I truly am LOVING it. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I was nervous about working at a school in my hometown, but I seriously could not love the people I work with more! They are all supportive of the role I am in and love the students as if they were their own.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I will say, when I get home I am TIRED. In college, I never went to bed before 11 (and in my last semester probably before 12). Now I aim to be in bed by 9:30 with hopes of being asleep by 10:30 at the latest. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I guess the biggest downside is that on the weekends is that I don't have a lot to do. I try to work out, but I don't hang out with friends. I don't have too many around. It has been the largest pill to swallow and accept that I am in a different season of life. I do hang out with my family A LOT. This weekend we are going to the UNC-Clemson Football game and the Phil Collins concert (my fave!). So I do have some events to look forward to. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I am slowly trying to overcome my tiredness when I get home and want to develop a post-work routine as I have my morning routine down pat with the exception that I still do not make my bed every morning. Every night just seems to be a littleeee different so I am still navigating that.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I finished watching all of Big Little Lies last weekend, only two weeks after finishing the book. I am not one to always hop on hype- trains like everyone else, but it really is as good as people say. The book is a little different from the show (the show did have me questioning if I liked one character as much as I did in the book). But the directors and actresses did so well and of course they have to have more to keep the show going!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

How is your autumn starting off</div>

Happy Monday, friends!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Since getting my AirPods, I'm not able to plug them into the machines at the gym when I workout so I can listen/watch a TV show something that makes the time go by wayyyy faster than constantly skipping songs. I opted to catch up on podcasts while on the elliptical and boy it felt good! Typically, I listen to podcasts that motivate me and I felt that even more while multitasking.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<u>Chicks in the Office</u></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
My boyfriend actually told me about this Barstool podcast haha... One of the hosts, Ria, dates a guy on another Barstool show called Pardon My Take. I was skeptical to listen to a podcast by <b>Barstool</b> but it is not what I expected at all! The hosts, Ria and Fran, talk about a little bit of everything related to pop culture and current events and also give a bachelorette recap each week. They always play good music in between each segment as well. They are super relatable and fun to listen to.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
You'll enjoy this if you listen to: The Morning Toast and Girls Gotta Eat</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<u>Enough About Me with Shep Rose</u></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This might be a hidden gem located only on Apple Podcasts (I typically use Spotify). The Southern Charm star, Shep Rose, is very well educated to some's surprise and this podcast puts it to use. <i>Enough About Me </i>is fairly new as it has only been out for about a month. Shep interviews some of his castmates and even political activists which is honestly very interesting. I didn't think I would enjoy his political interviews, but you also get to learn a lot about Shep in the process beyond the show. As a HUGE Southern Charm fan, I like that I am able to see the intellectual side of Shep rather than his party-boy persona that we only see on TV.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
You'll enjoy this if you listen to: The Skinny Confidential</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<u>Gals on the Go</u></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This podcast is hosted by Brooke Miccio and Danielle Carolan, two YouTubers that went to UGA in Athens. I have been watching their videos for a while and began listening to their podcasts since day one. I really like hearing them talk about their lives and such and it feels very authentic. Brooke is the same age as me and the chapter that she is in with her life very much resonates with me as a recent grad as well. I love hearing about their favorite products because honestly if I didn't get up with them I probably would be living under a rock as to what the next big thing is! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
You'll enjoy this if you listen to: TK's Juicy Pod, I Love You So Much with Kenzie Elizabeth, The Real Reel with Natalie Barbu</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

Happy first day of Summer!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Today I am sharing some of my beauty favorites that I have been using constantly these past few weeks!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjhSwVIa6CXjG3jFwYbIrh3rvQAnENlhDQd103h0l3o9jMJeAPMOlMMIeA_Ff7bMH9USw8ctETA9ZXqIz_Fm5QKnVB_XyBI6iPwsWfeso4hHRnQQ_DROejmcObXm5J1rr_dHT3dG6NpOMA/s1600/Summerfavsv.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1067" data-original-width="1600" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjhSwVIa6CXjG3jFwYbIrh3rvQAnENlhDQd103h0l3o9jMJeAPMOlMMIeA_Ff7bMH9USw8ctETA9ZXqIz_Fm5QKnVB_XyBI6iPwsWfeso4hHRnQQ_DROejmcObXm5J1rr_dHT3dG6NpOMA/s320/Summerfavsv.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Neutrogena Hydroboost Moisturizer</b> - GUYS, this stuff is amazing it is so light and feels great on my skin. It is also veryyyy similar to the Clinique 72-hour Moisture Surge, but for a fraction of the price. I don't moisturize like I should so this travel size has lasted me a while and I truly do love it. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Neutrogena Hydroboost Lip Shine </b>- Yes I am sharing two lip glosses in this post but I love to change things up! I kept seeing people share this on their instagram in May and I had to try it out especially since it is a drugstore brand, I figured "why not?" When I went to Target to purchase there were few colors left and few quantities in those remaining colors! If you want a lip gloss to keep on hand, I highly recommend this Lip Shine!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Laneige Berry Lip Gloss - </b>I actually received this in my Easter basket from my mom this year. I had been wanting the overnight lip mask from Laneige, but honestly, I have gotten way more use out of this as I can toss it in my bag for on the go as well. There are about four flavor options, but I love the pink tube. It honestly tastes/smells like a Jelly Bean LipSmacker. This is a more luxurious lip gloss and makes me feel a little more put together when I wear it</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>Bad Gal BANG </b>- I had been using the Better Than Sex mascara for a while, but it was starting to clump up and I figured it was time to toss it. My mom had this unopened from a Nordstrom Sale where mascaras were buy two get the third free and she still had not gotten around to using it. I have really enjoyed it and it doesn't flake off throughout the day!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>bareMinerals Complexion Rescue- </b>Okay so I have saved my absolute favorite for last! This tinted moisturizer feels soooo good on my skin. My friend and I were in Ulta a few weeks ago just trying out every product in typical Ulta fashion and we tried this and we were hooked!!! I am almost out and I plan on repurchasing this again. I wear the shade Birch 1.5 and it matches my complexion perfectly! I would highly recommend this if you are in the market for a new foundation. It is very lightweight and great for these hot summer days! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
What beauty products have you been loving this summer?</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Good morning, friends!<br />
<br />
It has been almost a whole month since I graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill in May. I am writing to you from my home in Eastern North Carolina.<br />
<br />
The week following the longest exam week ever (literally, so long... I had SIX exams) was quite fun. I got to spend time with friends and relax. My boyfriend's family, along with mine, had a nice lunch together at the Angus Barn in Raleigh. It was nice having <i>all </i>of our family in one place instead of splitting our time.<br />
<br />
So what's next?<br />
<br />
Beginning in July, I will begin work as a College Advisor for the Carolina College Advising Corps. I will be working at a high school in my hometown which is kind of exciting and a relief in some regards. This was <i>the</i> job I wanted out of all of the ones I had applied for and it will be nice to face this new transition while living at home and having familiar faces around (and of course to be able to save money).<br />
<br />
Until work begins, I have just been relaxing at home, going to the gym and spending days at the pool. My goal is to work on the blog a little more as well now that I have rested up!<br />
<br />
What are your plans for the summer?<br />
<br />

Can you believe we are over half way through February!? It's crazy how long January seems to last and then February is always so short!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So far, the past few weeks had been great! I was working out regularly and was on top of my school work! The weather was amazing and I was way less anxious than I normally am. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Then, last week something changed. I really don't know what it was... the weather dropping back down to 40-degree temps and rain, perhaps??? It really killed my vibe and I only worked out once the entire week with the exception of two walks around my neighborhood. But I was not myself.<br />
<br />
For Valentine's Day, my boyfriend and I went to a restaurant called Maggiano's in Durham at the mall. I have spent an embarrassing amount of time at that mall over the year and I can't believe I had never been before. It was really great and I loved getting to share a dinner with my Valentine!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I have found some more work out classes that I enjoy besides my regular barbell pump from last semester. This semester I have tried out 3-2-1 which is a HIIT class that has intervals of 3 minutes for cardio (my nemesis), 2 minutes of strength (my fav), and 1 minute of abs! It is fast-paced and the classes last only 45 minutes which is a perfect amount of time in my opinion. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Alpha Chi had a sisterhood event this weekend at a studio called barre(d). I had never taken a barre class until then. It is sooooo different than any workout I had done before. I initially was not a fan mainly because I was in so much pain, but I felt so good afterward and want to go back now that I know what to anticipate. This semester my goal has been to workout at least twice a week and it hasn't been that bad!<br />

Yes, I am soooo hopping on this organization train! I used to be very organized in early high school and probably up until college when my days began to vary SO MUCH. I've been wanting to get back into a routine of it all and Netflix released this series at the perfect time. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I started watching Tidying Up with Marie Kondo while I was at home for Christmas break. At this point, I don't really have a lot of stuff at home and the stuff I do have, I don't use a lot. I keep those things at home because I don't wear use them enough, but am not ready to let go for the most part. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I brought quite a few things home from my room at the sorority house. I anticipated I would be getting a good amount of clothes from Santa, so I didn't bring too many home. I brought a lot of small things as well. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
After watching two episodes of the show, I got to tidying. I went through all of my t-shirts, leggings, pants, pajamas, and closet. I realized that many things I was holding onto were not necessarily sparking joy. Tidying up my room at home was nowhere near as fun as it was when I returned back to school, especially since the items at home were not being used regularly anyway. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Amongst the many things I brought back to school with me, I also found Marie Kondo's book at my house. I knew my mom had read it a while back and many people raved about it as well prior to the show. Hopefully, I can find downtime to read it, but it is so hard with school (and not having a space completely of my own) to sit to read for fun and be able to reorganize every single thing.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
When I got back to school, between unpacking, finding joy and folding, I spent about two hours reorganizing my room. Unfortunately, I was unable to get rid of too many things because I can't let go of my sorority t-shirts just yet. The most calming part for me was the folding. I really felt connected (it sounds weird I know) and it made me feel like I had a grip on this goal of organization I had been longing for this past couple of years. Granted, space in my home is very limited as I share it with three other girls, but I was able to fold my pants and t-shirts (disclaimer: I still had too many t-shirts).<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWmSTQAF9cJoOYvRhP-nndF6XBqBnnf5H73lFC1p88-ut3ECIA4BcUbp2bq5smrtny9kiVK1nyNTZ3XeIiWFCcDq0PH90Pm82cWi2W9kHLMTngFCKG8M1feNP8KvsbF4SgQ08ZpiE9dCA/s1600/bed.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjWmSTQAF9cJoOYvRhP-nndF6XBqBnnf5H73lFC1p88-ut3ECIA4BcUbp2bq5smrtny9kiVK1nyNTZ3XeIiWFCcDq0PH90Pm82cWi2W9kHLMTngFCKG8M1feNP8KvsbF4SgQ08ZpiE9dCA/s320/bed.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I am trying to keep my bed made every day. It always feels so much better in my room when I do this. I know it doesn't look super neat, but it's a super small space!</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsOv-iDXz7BdVQQMJlqn3uMJs5XZrGP68F0H8B_YQ10m6cNucmIKAtdtrREOjuisbp06BdUMh0xJ9GJ0azlRoQG-Yp2LP8At18cJ0tzjPr8mc2ZzgY3bukACaqeK6Vh9A_cMdfsTycUPs/s1600/jeans.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1600" data-original-width="1200" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgsOv-iDXz7BdVQQMJlqn3uMJs5XZrGP68F0H8B_YQ10m6cNucmIKAtdtrREOjuisbp06BdUMh0xJ9GJ0azlRoQG-Yp2LP8At18cJ0tzjPr8mc2ZzgY3bukACaqeK6Vh9A_cMdfsTycUPs/s320/jeans.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
My space for jeans is super limited! Th KonMari folding did not work out as well with the space I have, but they are all folded nonetheless.</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgycgI8bxj_VzTnG2hPSOZLUiXmcWCJ3igdmEaPMmhgrldTzuGW4eu4ozG8IW4IrpX3Wn_7ddCHCeu9Z6IM4QTKvjTUIXZ9DrdxdBfjR6ut0dNbVAc2Qe-3NzZNq041TN98783nPvp_ULs/s1600/legging.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgycgI8bxj_VzTnG2hPSOZLUiXmcWCJ3igdmEaPMmhgrldTzuGW4eu4ozG8IW4IrpX3Wn_7ddCHCeu9Z6IM4QTKvjTUIXZ9DrdxdBfjR6ut0dNbVAc2Qe-3NzZNq041TN98783nPvp_ULs/s320/legging.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
Again, my space is limited, but I made a stack of my shorts and folded my leggings and sweatpants in the KonMari style! It was oh-so calming!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhY2vu5nmO3j1_DxTSdBQDtJfc5YYaSuQLpshaRTGHp3ZnYrzHkPkwiqePlSvWX87u4is3DBK30_D-3E96fdlg5GZh_HiPjGXdz0gX_q3nVCC-OvHJv2zoR7e5d6Uu0-kvbOeQoVyUbudc/s1600/tops.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="1600" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhY2vu5nmO3j1_DxTSdBQDtJfc5YYaSuQLpshaRTGHp3ZnYrzHkPkwiqePlSvWX87u4is3DBK30_D-3E96fdlg5GZh_HiPjGXdz0gX_q3nVCC-OvHJv2zoR7e5d6Uu0-kvbOeQoVyUbudc/s320/tops.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Folding my t-shirts was my favorite part! I definitely have some attachment issues to them though. I can revisit this afer I graduate but for now, I mostly live in t-shirts so I wasn't super picky.</div>
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I can honestly say I had such a great week last week! Although starting a new semester is always a bit overwhelming for me, I really felt like I took the week by the horns! I even woke up at 7:30 and ran errands <b>SATURDAY MORNING. </b>It's crazy what a little bit of organization can do you for your mind. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

In light of the new year, I thought I would share some goals I have for myself. I am not one to necessarily have resolutions nor am I one to stick to them, but going into my FINAL semester, I feel like I should document what I want to accomplish in the coming months.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9PqaWSkGftEEBQaZlFYo6JqcTnEWib0m4a2T9gEOBR9bBLKVeYHgmlWRpejCcyW_IpvUfht5yjNlxGd5XtAPn6_zqIYaI9koKo_-Fo1dCGu0UCJtJpnn16MnddaWkMfFSscBe-UU7SY0/s1600/goals.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="800" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9PqaWSkGftEEBQaZlFYo6JqcTnEWib0m4a2T9gEOBR9bBLKVeYHgmlWRpejCcyW_IpvUfht5yjNlxGd5XtAPn6_zqIYaI9koKo_-Fo1dCGu0UCJtJpnn16MnddaWkMfFSscBe-UU7SY0/s320/goals.jpg" width="213" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b>Make Healthier Choices: </b>Yeah, yeah something about being healthy had to be put up here. I really got into going to fitness classes on campus and I hope I can continue to get over my fears and go more often. Going to fitness classes alone really scares me, I did it once last semester and it was fine! Having my friends tag along is always more fun! I also want to drink more water. Over break, I know I didn't drink nearly enough water like I should have and I always drink more at school. I want to be more intentional and consume more if possible.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b>Procrastinate Less: </b>I'll be honest, this past semester was the best I have ever done while at Carolina. My teachers for 3/5 of my classes gave us daily reading questions that actually kept me more focused on assignments. I still managed to procrastinate papers. I'm seriously the worst about this. Like I will start them DAY OF and freak myself out and tears were almost always shed. Here's to being better about that whether it be just writing a page or two BEFORE the actual due date!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b>Establish a Routine: </b>I really want to get better about waking up 30 minutes before class starts and scrolling through my phone in bed and all that jazz. My alarm is always set for an hour before I need to leave for class, but I spend to much time in bed. Hopefully this semester I will get up and scroll through my socials while I drink my coffee (also something I am trying to get into bc I am tired... A LOT) I think a routine will improve my mood and focus throughout the day. And this also includes adding a gym routine!</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b>Have More Patience: </b> Whew! Now if this isn't something noteworthy. I am not a patient person, in fact I'm more on the temperamental side of things. I let small things bother me like nobody's business. This semester I want to try to be calmer which is a hard thing to say as someone who HAS NO IDEA OF WHAT THEY ARE DOING NEXT YEAR. But I want to incorporate this throughout my day to day life with my roommates, friends, and boyfriend.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
What goals do you have for the new semester?!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

Hey y'all!<br />
<br />
Now that exams are finally over, I thought it would be time to share what is on my Christmas list! Exams were crazy because Chapel Hill got around 10 inches of snow in the middle of exam week. I do not do well with major weather occurrences that change up my routine, so exam week was extra stressful, but I made some of my best grades since being at Carolina! So without further ado...<br />

<div style="text-align: left;">
<a href="https://www.anthropologie.com/shop/block-letter-monogram-necklaceV" target="_blank">Monogram Necklace:</a> A ton of girls have been wearing these lately, I kind of want one with my name on it, but I feel like that is a little too bold for me. For now I will stick it out with the B. I have a lot of dainty gold necklaces, but I feel like people don't notice them. I think this one will be cool and more noticeable. </div>

I am also the WORST at walking in heels. These meet my height requirements with an added sense of elegance. Hopefully I get these and I can't wait to wear them!<br />
<br />
Perfume: I've really been torn between Ralph Lauren Romance and YSL Mon Paris perfumes. I've been using all three of the Tory Burch perfumes since early high school and figured it was time to change it up. I'll be happy with either scent.<br />

<a href="https://www.beautycounter.com/product/best-of-beautycounter" target="_blank">BeautyCounter Best </a><a href="https://www.beautycounter.com/product/best-of-beautycounter" target="_blank">of</a>: My aunt is a BeautyCounter consultant and she has let me try out a lot of her products. My favorite is the 3 Balancing Charcoal Mask. I've had a small tube for about a year and I am almost out. It is so fascinating to watch the mask dry to see your pores (weird I know), but I have been wanting to take better care of my skin and have more products of my own, so I thought this set would be nice to receive!<br />
<br />
<a href="https://www.sephora.com/product/lippe-tm-P403818" target="_blank">Drunk Elephant Lippe Balm</a>: In continuation of the skin care theme, my lips are constantly dry! Thanks to my favorite YouTubers Brooke Miccio and Danielle Carolan, I have been wanting to try Drunk Elephant products. Hopefully this balm is high quality!<br />

The jacket looks super warm so I can't go wrong!<br />

I cannot believe we are a month out from exams... I have mixed feelings about it. I'm only interested in half of my classes and the other half I really enjoy. On Monday, I registered for classes for the last time... EVER (for a while at least). This semester has by far been better than my whole last year at UNC. Don't get me wrong, I enjoyed myself, but there were a lot more lows.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1. I am an introvert. I had always been told by my family that I am an introvert. Last year, I hated being alone though. I guess that was due to the fact that my roommates were always gone and were not as close as I had anticipated that we would be. This year living in a 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom house, I have learned that I do miss being lonesome more than I had expected. Not to mention that I have all of my meals in the main sorority house, so I constantly surrounded by sisters. I really do love the company, but it's comical looking back on how lonely I was sometimes last year. It's definitely all about balance at the end of the day. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
2. I love to learn. Although some of my classes are not very interesting, the ones I do like are soooooo entertaining. I have rarely skipped class this semester (something I did frequently last year). I'm sure if it's because I live close to campus/ my roommates are more responsible or the combination of multiple factors, but it has not happened too much this semester and it truly does make a difference. Now, if I could just focus better when I am working on my homework! My favorite class is Intro to Human Development and Family Studies which most first years take who want to go into education. While I did choose this class as an elective, I knew it would be very interesting to me as I hope to be a guidance counselor one day.<br />
<br />
3. I have found my best friends. This is so cheesy and sappy but I do love my friends here at Carolina so much. They are so supportive and REAL. It's not like high school where you had to be friends with certain people. I love spending time with my sisters (to an extent though, see point number 1 lol). They definitely keep you accountable and are a strong support system.<br />
<br />
I am sad to see this semester end and next semester will be bittersweet for sure. How have your semesters gone so far?!</div>

Happy October!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Okay sorry I have been so MIA. School has been going GREAT (knock on wood)! Recruitment was so much fun and kept me super busy which is what I needed. I really developed a routine with my schoolwork and recruitment practice schedule, but of course as soon as I got comfortable in that schedule, bid day rolled around! We seriously had the BEST bid day theme... HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL! Growing up those were my favorite movies and I was insanely obsessed and I will debate you on that if you disagree as I still I have my Barbie Sharpay and her convertible unopened!!!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
After bid day, Hurricane Florence hit North Carolina and we were out of school for five days. There was no major damage done in Chapel Hill, thankfully! Because of where Florence was making landfall, I opted to not go home because they were calling for my town to flood and I figured it would be dumb to leave and head towards the storm. Instead, I went to my aunt's house that is two hours west of Chapel Hill. I had a fun time while I was there. I wish I had just been more present while I was there, but I was super on edge wondering when I could go back to school and I missed my boyfriend! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Last week was our first full week of school this year which is crazy to think. I have finally gotten somewhat of a routine to share with you guys! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0L6DInDQU65BqQW5tEQwSPmUhsaUuMMek69nd5Z4EQoL6R2R-cEQNoGjw7qKQaGkTBpYQGCOXwoDiApnKiFBeRmyI3dZxzQQaaGwIoK5vQUZVffXcG9vlcQlKT9xHmT0YREVarls8ils/s1600/Fall+Semester.png" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1200" data-original-width="800" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh0L6DInDQU65BqQW5tEQwSPmUhsaUuMMek69nd5Z4EQoL6R2R-cEQNoGjw7qKQaGkTBpYQGCOXwoDiApnKiFBeRmyI3dZxzQQaaGwIoK5vQUZVffXcG9vlcQlKT9xHmT0YREVarls8ils/s1600/Fall+Semester.png" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The reason that there are two times for each event is to reflect my schedule. My Tuesday/Thursday times are first because my day begins earlier following my Monday/Wednesday/Friday schedule. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>Wake Up//</b> Don't think I get up out of bed an hour before my classes start... This is just when my first alarms go off and I decide to catch up on my social media from the night before. I always check my emails in hopes of a class getting cancelled, but that has yet to happen to me. Sometimes I will shower if I get up early enough and have some remaining homework, I might shower since I have the time. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>Class// </b>On Tuesdays and Thursdays, I only have one class in the mornings at 9:30 and on MWF I have one class at 10 then another at 11:15 until 12:05. Mondays definitely feel like such longer days, but I enjoy those two classes more than my morning TTH class.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>Lunch// </b>One thing Alpha Chi at UNC prides itself on is the food. I am not exaggerating, but it is one of my favorite things about my days. They are well balanced and delicious. We get home made cookies everyday for a dessert at lunch as well which I am a sucker for. It is just a nice break from our hectic days to chill for a bit and talk to our sisters. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>Class// </b>It is always so hard for me to go to my last class of the day... especially on MWF when it is economics. I don't understand it and it does not really come easy to me. I should probably devote more time to the class, but it is one of those classes if you aren't interested then it is just not going to happen. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<b>Relax// </b>Sorry this one is so random, but really every day varies. Some days I will nap, go on a Dunkin' run with my boyfriend, or watch Netflix. It can be hard sometimes to make myself do homework right after class. I have always done my homework after dinner... even when I was in elementary school and was supposed to do my homework at after school care, I would talk and hang out instead. I don't think my mom was a big fan of that, but old habits die hard! But let's be honest that window from 2-5:30 is a great time to dedicate to some self care! 5:30 is when we have dinner together at Alpha Chi. Afterwards, I will come back and force myself to sit down and crank out some reading for my classes and do assignments if need be. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Happy October!</div>

A couple of weekends ago my mom and I ventured to Charleston. Since the beginning of Southern Charm, the Bravo series just recently ending its 5th season, I have longed to visit the Holy City. The trip was a nice mom-daughter get away before I headed back to school this past week and a great way to continue my 21st birthday celebration. This recap is long overdue and probably will not do the trip justice.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
Upon arrival on Thursday, we had dinner at The Charleston Grill. It was fabulous! My mom and I decided to just order a bunch of smaller plates instead of splurging on large ones that we would probably not finish. We told the waiters that we here in Charleston to celebrate my birthday and they surprised us with glasses of dessert wine and this variety plate of sweets at the end of our meal. I thought it was so nice of them! </div>

Friday was spent exploring the city with lots of shopping! I got lots of transitional pieces for the fall that I cannot wait to wear while we were out and about! I really enjoyed going to the market. We went on Thursday, but it was very overwhelming to say the least. But we went back on Friday and I found some souvenirs. I really want to get a hand weaved straw basket one day! We had lunch at Poogan's Porch surrounded by three different bachelorette parties. (They were e v e r y w h e r e!!!)</div>

On Saturday, my mom and I went to Middleton Place, a well-known Charleston Plantation. I had read a lot of mixed reviews on visiting plantations when planning our vacay, but I had never seen one before and they were advertised quite a bit around the town. After some brief research Thursday night, we found that Middleton Place had the best reviews overall, not to mention they had a dining option! The food was great! It has been very rainy in Charleston according to the locals, which made for a very peaceful day on the plantation. The rain held off thankfully once we were there! The house in the picture above is actually one of the side houses of the property. The main house was burned during the Civil War and ultimately collapsed during an earthquake in the 1880s and along with the other side house. The house that remains has been remodeled and restored on the inside to resemble what the main house would have looked like during its peak. Members of the Middleton Family donated many of their possessions to the property for tourists to see.</div>

Hey y'all!!!! Today makes it officially ONE WEEK until I move back to Chapel Hill for the school, even though I've gone at least once a week since I moved back in early July. I am ready to establish an everyday routine tbh. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Since my junior year of high school, I used an LL Bean Deluxe book bag. Honestly it's still in good condition, but it kind of feels grimy even though I have washed it (I mean four years of using backpack... think of all of the places its been...) so I wanted to change it up for senior year and be a little more sanitary. I really did not want to splurge though. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I tried using a North Face backpack last year which ended up being EXTREMELY heavy without anything in it. (I don't remember the style but I know it wasn't the typical Jester or Recon that most people use). I switched back to my trusty LL Bean by the end of my first week. It was great since I lived so far from campus, I could really load up on everything I needed for the day since I would be out of my apartment from 8-6 most days.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This year I am using the Kanken backpack. I had a gift card to Great Outdoor Provisions since Christmas and decided that after nearly a year later that I should put it to use. I also signed up for their emails and got 10% off my purchase. I definitely got this backpack at a great price. I have been eyeing these for years, but knew they would be too small for all I would need especially during my high school career. This year I am living a BLOCK from campus. Literally will be a 10 minute walk to most of my classes like how insane is that!? I know I will definitely not have to load up everything each day and I am not working on campus so there are not many "What-Ifs". </div>

The backpack is a lot smaller than what I am used to, but I think it will prevent me from overpacking. Also, one of my MUST-HAVES on backpacks especially as a college student are side compartments to hold water bottles. That was a make-it or break-it deal when I was shopping around.</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This year I decided instead of having an individual notebook for every single class that I instead use two 3-subject notebooks. I either have two classes a day or three classes a day so this works perfectly. This should keep my load a little lighter as well. I used a 2-subject notebook this summer for my 2 classes and it honestly just felt more efficient. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Also, the Kanken has a laptop sleeve (!!!) which I was not expecting or even looking for really but this will be perfect! I know my MacBook Air will fit perfectly because it is so slim. My Lenovo should fit as well, but it is just a little more bulky compared to my Mac. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
My boyfriend gave me Emily Ley's Simplified Planner Daily Edition in the Minted Pineapple print for my birthday. I have ALWAYS loved Emily Ley, but could not let myself spend $60 on a planner. I really didn't know what to ask for this year and I saw this was the last print she had in stock, I had to ask for it. I couldn't deprive myself from Emily's genius any longer!</div>

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6lgx_3ProOnd-ueaG3hQr35KCs9acZTBi7d79EPeX0_mVKI9jaeXA3FuXIYY5uKxE5zewDiLUOOWUWj5Bhszcrhs4GjGul1zZvH6s01Ba6SKCnChWzyvg_mM3fABUpYrXK1wgQ8z9cvM/s1600/7518554128_IMG_0245.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1067" data-original-width="1600" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6lgx_3ProOnd-ueaG3hQr35KCs9acZTBi7d79EPeX0_mVKI9jaeXA3FuXIYY5uKxE5zewDiLUOOWUWj5Bhszcrhs4GjGul1zZvH6s01Ba6SKCnChWzyvg_mM3fABUpYrXK1wgQ8z9cvM/s320/7518554128_IMG_0245.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Last year, I didn't use up that many pens or pencils, but I cannot resist purchasing new ones for the school year. I purchased the Pilot Frixion pens. They are so cool because they erase with a rubbery-plastic end - an eraser that doesn't wear away! I bought this three pack of fancy mechanical pencils called Clearpoint that I have seen people use for ages. I think I used one of my sister's recently and found that they wrote really well! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<b><u>Side note:</u></b> Has anyone else felt like Target's school supply section is super empty this year?? Every time I go, there are a lot of empty shelves. I just can't believe people are buying that much supplies so early. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
In addition to this, I found these supplies at Target. Initially in the school supply section. I had the Frixion pens in red, black, and blue. In the back of my mind I knew I would never use the red, but I wanted the Frixion pens. Secondly, there was a two pack of the same pencils for like a $1.50 more which I thought was ridiculous, but it's the price you pay for quality products but I knew other places had them for a little cheaper. I decided to look in the office supplies section just to double check. I actually found this ALL BLACK set of Frixion pens for $1 cheaper and this THREE set of Clear Point pencils for $1.50 cheaper. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
In short, if you want some of the less basic type of school supplies make sure you aren't getting scammed!!!! I was really proud of myself for finding these bargains. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
What school supplies are you using this year?</div>

For me, my summer's are usually spent traveling to places across the United States whether it be Florida or somewhere out west. I honestly felt like I was extremely cultured compared to people in my small hometown (and I probably still am), but my mindset has completely changed this summer. So many people I have met at college have gone abroad and for some this isn't their first time in the last year! People are not only going to Europe, but to Jerusalem, Australia, and parts of Asia...places I can never imagine going. I catch myself thinking I will never be able to spend a semester away like that...</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This summer I have one vacation planned which I leave for TOMORROW (!!!!) and I am so excited to be headed to Charleston and to be somewhere new. This is rare that I do not really go anywhere until the end of the summer, but this is partially due to me being in summer school. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
But with social media, I feel like my weekend trip does not equate to the dozens of girls who have studied abroad or who have gone to exotic places with their families. I know social media is just a highlight reel of everyone's trips because strangely enough, many people say upon returning from their abroad trips that their time was actually very lonely. And I just sit there like ???? <i>You were on the trip of a lifetime.... (Disclaimer: I am not trying to put down people who went abroad, I have been abroad before for a few days and it was amazing!)</i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<i><br /></i></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I honestly do not handle jealousy or FOMO very well. I feel like I haven't done enough with what I've been given and this summer I really found myself thinking like this. Inevitably, I have unfollowed the people that I don't really interact with, but are constantly going places this summer. For me, this is a way of me making strides to compare less and enjoy what I've been given more (no matter how harsh people may think I'm being towards others). I just have to remember that I cannot always sit and be down on myself about my current situation and to instead relish in my slow, easy summer before the school year kicks in because honestly after the school year I had, I really did need time to get myself together mentally more than a trip thousands of miles away. I know that my trip with my mom will be more meaningful to us given the season of life we are in at this very point in time.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Good morning!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Today, I am going to be talking about books that I have read so far this summer! Last summer, my job was babysitting a few days a week and my friends were living in their college towns for the summer giving me a lot of free time. It was really nice looking back since I was making a huge move to Chapel Hill that August. It allowed me to be stress free (although I found a way to be stressed about my move)... Anyways, with my free time I picked up reading. Honestly, I had not read a book for pleasure since <i>elementary school. </i>That is kind of embarrassing to admit to say the least. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
During my time last summer, I found reading to be soooo relaxing. I didn't have reports to write on these books or Accelerated Reader goals I had to meet. I was reading at my own pace. Reading became my own personal escape. I read probably 8 books last summer which was phenomenal. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So far this summer, I have read 5 books, but the summer isn't over yet! I was in summer school the first part of the summer, so I had a slightly later start. So far, I have read "Modern Lovers", "Crazy Rich Asians" (series) by Kevin Kwan, and I read Emily Giffin's latest "All We Ever Wanted" (in <b>three</b> days). Giffin's book was very fast-paced and enjoyable. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'll be honest, I started Modern Lovers in November... I did not have a lot of free time during the school year and when I did, reading was the last thing I wanted to do since I had so much for class. Once school ended before summer school, I began to really read the book. Honestly, it was one of the worst books I have read. There seemed to be a lot of hype behind this author given her other book "The Vacationers" which I have not read. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I have raved about this so much to everyone I have talked to, but I loveeee Crazy Rich Asians. I read all three books within a month. The last one only took me a week to read. I have to say the last one might have been my favorite. They are just so light and funny. There's a few plot twists which kept me on my toes! I can't wait for the movie come August 15th (a Wednesday!!!!!)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Next on my list, is "The Identicals" by Elin Hilderbrand. The book came out last summer, but I believe only hardback was available and since I was just getting into reading I didn't want to full on splurge. But this summer, I HAD to get my hands on it. My mom is currently reading it and I am waiting to steal it back from her! (I was the one who bought it hehe) Even when I made the purchase at Barnes and Noble, the cashier said it was a great book which makes me even more excited to get to it!</div>

On Tuesday, Matthew and I celebrated 3 years of dating. Technically, our actual anniversary is Saturday, but Tuesday worked better with our schedules. We went to Charlotte (one of our favorite cities) and spent the day there!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Upon arrival, we immediately went to Shake Shack... Matthew had not been there since we went to New York for Thanksgiving 2 years ago! It was sooooo good per usual.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Afterwards, we went to SouthPark and Swoozies. Surprisingly, I did not find anything at the mall... (shocking, right!?) Then at Swoozies, Matthew bought me <a href="https://www.shopaviate.com/collections/southeast/North-Carolina" target="_blank">this hat</a> as an anniversary gift. I have been wanting an aviate hat for a few months now and what a fun way to remember our trip to Charlotte!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Matthew had never been to my aunt's house that's about an hour away from Charlotte, so we decided to stop by there. It was such a beautiful day there and we got to explore their land on the gator!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqLoJ_j2OEuJCEcxCz1JF-9Tl-T42wWGuJZ9Gj9FFyzzhmM4K4ldSZQoLk3ii6Osxdbkh2S8rCfrOXVQMm860GsxIhwA8Kjri-F7Bzwd61io8_jfTyXftj7a-ZNpHQ6MYUwNXTNkbO3O0/s1600/IMG_4223.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1065" data-original-width="1600" height="213" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqLoJ_j2OEuJCEcxCz1JF-9Tl-T42wWGuJZ9Gj9FFyzzhmM4K4ldSZQoLk3ii6Osxdbkh2S8rCfrOXVQMm860GsxIhwA8Kjri-F7Bzwd61io8_jfTyXftj7a-ZNpHQ6MYUwNXTNkbO3O0/s320/IMG_4223.JPG" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
We ended the night with dinner at Bonefish which was really good and different because I don't eat seafood that much, but I really enjoyed it.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Here's to many more years together!</div>

Good morning!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
My birthday is coming up in just a little over a week (July 21st to be exact). I really haven't had a party since I turned 19. That year, I asked for a surprise party and ended up with two! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Now that I am finally away from home and have an apartment, I thought it would be fun (and nerve racking) to have my hometown and Chapel Hill worlds collide. Also, Pinterest has so many cute party decoration ideas that it was hard to resist to not plan something for my day!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I really think I'm going for a cactus/pineapple/gold theme. I have found some pieces at Target (hellooooo dollar section) and have searched Amazon and Pinterest as well. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="PARTY IN A CUP! Love this so much! $12 | Urban Outfitters Disco Cactus Sipper Cup" height="320" src="https://i.pinimg.com/564x/89/2a/cb/892acbad56249592ac02196b251edefb.jpg" width="213" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://www.urbanoutfitters.com/shop/disco-cactus-sipper-cup?category=Drinkware&color=028" target="_blank">I found this cup at Urban Outfitters</a> for $8 the other week with my mom. Everyone on their 21st has their special cup and I felt like this one really fit my theme!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="CHEERS! Gold Mylar Balloons" height="320" src="https://i.pinimg.com/564x/93/95/c2/9395c2d6e698d4ef0bbecdde72dc6910.jpg" width="320" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
These cheers balloons were in a pack at Target for like $5. I know you can find them almost anywhere for fairly cheap, so make sure you don't completely over pay!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Lastly, everyone seems to have a wall for photo ops which is one of the last decorations I am still trying to narrow my vision on. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="500 Likes, 19 Comments - Louisa@littlebigcompany (@littlebigcompany) on Instagram: âStreamer backdrop love by @florenceknows_____ â" height="320" src="https://i.pinimg.com/564x/65/b4/6f/65b46fa85e4bd851c507794e1c7b176a.jpg" width="320" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I really like this option, of course I wouldn't have the "one" balloons, but the "CHEERS" banner would be a good replacement! This could be done very easily on a budget as well!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<img alt="Garden party 1st birthday for Zoe | Lynette Boyle Photography | 100 Layer Cakelet" height="320" src="https://i.pinimg.com/564x/28/96/55/289655d1ed690743acb216dd9bcfb935.jpg" width="234" /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I really like the pom poms from this backdrop as well and I found a party set on Amazon that had some similar. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Side note: Amazon has some great party sets with balloons, streamers and tassel banners that end up being like 36 pieces all for $20 or less! I am tempted to order one myself, but there are so many options that I cannot commit just yet! If I go with one of them I will post about their quality and if it was worth it!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://www.pinterest.com/baileyhumphrey/celebrate/" target="_blank">If you want to follow me to continue seeing my 21st birthday vision check out my "celebrate" Pinterest board!</a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Do you have any party supply suggestions!?</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

Bevello is my go to store. They have GREAT brands all of which are of great quality. I can always count on them having clothes that are in my "vision" of the perfect outfit. Since I am on the shorter side, I have really struggled trying to find a jumpsuit that won't swallow me whole. (I did find one at bevello, but I prefer the one I am sharing with you!) I have been loving this trend of the capri jumpsuits because they would fit me better. <a href="https://www.bevello.com/wylie-jumpsuit.html" target="_blank">I found this one</a> and it is perfect! The material is sooo soft and light aka perfect for Charleston! I will also be able to wear it on game days in August and September! (Go heels!) </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I have also been eyeing these <a href="https://www.bevello.com/multi-hoops.html" target="_blank">trendy tortoise earrings</a> as well through bevello's instagram for WEEKS. I love the twist on this classic print and I finally got them! I can't wait to pair them with my everyday outfits!</div>

Next, I decided to update some parts of my make up routine at Sephora. I have seen so many recommendations for <a href="https://www.sephora.com/product/your-skin-but-better-cc-cream-spf-50-P411885?skuId=1868165&icid2=products%20grid:p411885" target="_blank">IT Cosmetics' CC cream "Your Skin but Better"</a>. I honestly do not have a make up "holy grail". My mom is constantly trying out new products and she's always switching up products. She's always giving me products that she's tried, but didn't care for so I would give them a try. I guess I get my desire to switch up my routine from her. I had been using <a href="https://www.sephora.com/product/tinted-moisturizer-broad-spectrum-P109936" target="_blank">Laura Mercier's Tinted Moisturizer.</a> I have liked it, but I feel like my make up looks more oily. I have normal skin so I can definitely notice this difference. (Note: When I looked up the tinted moisturizer on Sephora's website to link it for you, I noticed that there is an oil free option... maybe I will give that a go next time)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Lastly, I had seen lots of recommendations for <a href="https://www.sephora.com/product/radiant-creamy-concealer-mini-P422077?skuId=1726058" target="_blank">NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer Mini</a>. I'm not a huge concealer girl, but I know I need to start adapting it into my everyday makeup routine. I love NARS products. They are all just really pretty to look at in the store lol. I have only used the Orgasm Blush Stick from NARS so I am excited to try a new NARS product!</div>

Today I am sharing songs that I've been playing non-stop this summer. I know these songs are not super new, but I have been in a music funk for the last year! These songs are my first steps as to getting out of it lol. I also didn't realize that I had two songs by Electric Guest UNTIL I was making the graphic for the post. Also, 'It Feels Good' is off of Leon Bridges latest album and I loved his first album so much (it literally sounds like songs from fifties). His second album has not disappointed!<br />
